Imports by country
Within the G7 group of countries, imports from France fell by £0.4 billion, and imports from Japan fell by £0.1 billion. Imports from Canada rose by £0.3 billion, and from Germany by £0.2 billion. Among our other trading partners, imports from China fell by £0.3 billion. Imports from Denmark, Singapore and Hong Kong all fell by £0.2 billion. Imports from both Russia and the Netherlands rose by £0.3 billion. Imports from India rose by £0.1 billion.
TRADE IN SERVICES – JUNE
The UK''s surplus on trade in services was £2.7 billion, unchanged compared with May. In second quarter, the surplus on trade in services was £8.2 billion, compared with £8.5 billion in the previous quarter. Exports of services rose £0.1 billion to £32.5 billion and imports of services rose £0.5 billion to £24.3 billion.
