In March 2008, the consumer price index for all households in the whole of France rose by 0.8% ,+0.4% in March 2007, +0.2% in February 2008. The year-on-year price change was up by 3.2%,+2.8% in February 2008.

In March 2008, the consumer price index for all households in the whole of France rose by 0.8% (+0.4% in March 2007, +0.2% in February 2008). The year-on-year price change was up by 3.2% (+2.8% in February 2008).
In March, the raising of overall index resulted from a rise in prices of clothing and footwear, due to the end of the winter sales, and energy. Prices of transport and communication and others manufactures also rose.

The prices of foodstuffs except fresh products, fresh products and actual rentals, water supply and refuse collection edged up.

In March 2008, the price index adjusted for seasonal variations was up by 0.5% (stability in February). The underlying inflation indicator was up +0.4% (+0.1% in February 2008).

The HICP put up by 0.8% in March 2008 (+3.5% year-on-year).
