According to the business leaders questioned in April, the industrial economic situation deteriorated: the synthetic indicator decreases by two points.
Business leaders consider that their past activity slowed down noticeably in manufacturing industry, notably in intermediate goods industry. Stocks of finished products improve and are rated near to the normal. Total order books slighly decrease but stay high. Export order books remain strong. The personal production outlook, although edging down, remains on a rather high level. The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, deteriorates anew.
